Independents For Orange Raise $6,000 in 30 Days

The town's new political party is gearing up for the November election.

With slates set, political parties in Orange are starting to turn their attention to fundraising.

And Independents For Orange (IFO), the new political party in town, recently held a kick-off party to introduce its candidates and put some cash in the campaign coffers.

In an announcement posted on Orange Patch, IFO Co-Founder Chad Lombardi called the kick-off a success.

"This event surpassed our expectations, as we had over 70 people in attendance and raised over $4,500, bringing our total contributions to over $6,000 in less than 30 days," Lombardi said.

"It was tremendous to talk to so many people who share our beliefs, including encouraging Orange voters to elect the most qualified candidates to run the town, regardless of party affiliation," IFO Chairman and Board of Selectmen candidate Mike Richetelli said in the announcement. "I'm absolutely thrilled with the group of leaders that have stepped up to run with us this year."
