Independents For Orange Holds "Kick-Off Fundraiser", Announces Candidate Slate

Orange, CT… Independents For Orange (IFO) held a "Kick-Off Fundraiser" on Tuesday, July 23rd at Grassy Hill Country Club, to commemorate the founding of the organization and introduce their candidates for the November election. The event was hailed as a success by IFO co-founder Chad Lombardi; "this event surpassed our expectations, as we had over 70 people in attendance and raised over $4,500, bringing our total contributions to over $6,000 in less than 30 days", said Lombardi. IFO Chairman and Board of Selectmen candidate Mike Richetelli shared the enthusiasm, "it was tremendous to talk to so many people who share our beliefs, including encouraging Orange voters to elect the most qualified candidates to run the town, regardless of party affiliation. I'm absolutely thrilled with the group of leaders that have stepped up to run with us this year.", said Richetelli. Along with Richetelli, IFO announced Jim O'Connor, Branford elementary school Principal and Darcy Perfetto, former West Haven elementary school teacher as candidates for the Orange Board of Education and Jodi Chodos, Hamden High School social worker as a candidate for the Amity Board of Education. All three board of education candidates have children in the school districts for which they are running for. IFO also announced Fred A. Messore, as a candidate for Constable, Messore is a Commercial Realtor in Orange and also serves as the Economic Development Director for the Town of Seymour.

IFO is a group of dedicated Orange community leaders that have come together to provide an organization for citizens who want to be involved in town government without being affiliated with either of the two majority parties- Republican or Democrat and also to provide voters with more options in local elections.
