Paper posters as we know them today have been used for well over a hundred years to advertise, express, and share ideas to the public. In the world of music, posters have been through decades of changing styles. Concert posters, band posters, black light, promotional, and many more types have provided an image to match the sound that listeners have grown to love. Through the mid to late 20th century bedrooms across America were covered from floor to ceiling with posters of popular bands. Some albums were sold with special posters inside, some infamous for their graphics, some demanding high figure prices today. Famous artists have collaborated with bands to create special edition album art, from Peter Max and Yes, to H.R. Giger and The Dead Kennedys, among many others.
