Orange Owner, Pet Reunite Via Facebook

Quick Facebook post leads to the reunion of owner and pet.

Here's a lesson in social media: When in doubt, post to Facebook.

That’s exactly what an Orange resident did Monday after she spotted a “skittish,” seemingly lost dog on her property near the intersection of Racebrook Road and Boston Post Road and couldn’t cajole the pup to come to her.

Within an hour of posting this message on the Orange Patch Facebook page, the dachshund chihuahua mix named “Vegas” was reunited with his owner.

“He was very skittish and we couldn’t get to him,” Erica Jelormine Baker writes in another Facebook post about the reunion of owner and pet. “I posted the info to Orange Patch and someone had some info on a guy who had lost his dog.

“We called the number, the owner came, and after a bit of searching in the woods in the dark, ‘Vegas’ came towards our backdoor and reunited with Dave.”
