I guess I don't really understand why you would make that comment Peter?
As someone who lives…Read More close to these people I'm very relieved that no one was hurt and appreciate how quickly our fire department acted. Our volunteer fire department and its members should be commended for the great job they do for residents.
I'd love to see others comment on the fire department or the fact that this couple is safe rather than about who saw the story first. Let's be kind to one another....

Peter, After not being able to reach anyone at the fire department once I heard about the fire…Read More around 12 p.m., I did look at area publications to see if they had anything posted. But there was nothing. I was able to reach fire marshal Tim Smith later in the day, when there still was nothing posted on area news sites, at about 5 p.m. I then wrote and published this article.

I'm disgusted and saddened that someone entrusted with the safety and welfare of lost or homeless…Read More animals would behave in such a manner. As an Amity resident, I don't want to see my tax dollars used to pay the salary of someone who abuses animals. Thank you to the brave ACO's who came forward on the behalf of the animals who deserve so much better :((

All: A statement from Stephen J. Sedensky III, State’s Attorney for the Judicial District of…Read More Danbury, clarifies what several readers have pointed out as factual inaccuracies contained in the court documents. Sedensky's statement reads, in part:
"The released search warrants were obtained on December 14, 15, 16, 2012, within a short time of the shootings. Subsequent investigation revealed that shootings took place in two of the classrooms, not three, and that the shooter was not wearing a bullet-proof vest, nor was he a teenager."
The full statement may be found at the following link: http://www.ct.gov/csao/cwp/view.asp?a=1801&Q=521714
Given this information, I have corrected the article so that it now accurately reflects the facts as provided by authorities.

Another disturbing situation at Amity. These two kids should be kicked out of school and asked to…Read More enroll at another school. If Amity had a no tolerance policy, maybe these kids would be cognoscente of the consequences of their behavior. There is no place for fighting and drugs in our schools...period.
