It is a bit of wishful thinking to imagine filling a deep component module in a large shopping…Read More center. There are a multitude of spaces available along Route 1. My concern is when the owners lease to a discount place, a Dollar Store, Odd Lot type store. It lowers the entire plaza persona. You see how Milford MarketPlace leases only to higher end users, even if they need to keep a unit or two vacant. FireLite Shops corner space, perhaps one of the most visible locations in Town is now relegated to a liquor store with advertisements in every window. A few marginal tenants can diminish the fabric of a whole commercial district if done just to fill a space.

I'm curious about what kinds of craft beers they will have - very exciting!

This has been a challenging building for some time. Retailers have a difficult time where there is…Read More little visible parking. Although there is ample parking in the back, customers are not lured in if they are unfamiliar. The old showroom windows made this a natural for furniture or electronics. Unfortunately, these are industries which are on the downswing with online shopping. Perhaps it could be divided into medical suites?

I think Orange needs another sex shop ... VIP can't keep up with the demand!

Hi Yooper, thanks for asking. I think that is a typo on the document, and my guess is that it should…Read More be personal property. I've got a call in to the Assessor's Office to clarify and will let you know when I hear back from them.

Yooper - Thank you for your comment. Perhaps you have been sleeping under a rock. Mr. Blumenthal and…Read More Mr. Murphy, while true are US Senators (you would never know it), can't seem to leave Newtown, CT - "comforting" the victims while pushing forward their left-wing agenda and stripping CT residents of their constitutional rights. If you think they had no influence on the legislative body in CT you are clueless. While I liked, and voted for both Slossberg AND Klalridies - not only will I NOT vote for them again, I will actively help campaign against them. Especially Malloy - he is the most useless of everyone. I can't wait to 'clean-house' next November (or whenever it is). Thanks again for your contribution to the Orange Patch.

I live in the Valley and have never visited the Wallingford or Berlin store. I truly enjoyed my two…Read More visits to the Orange store and found the employees very friendly and anxious to help. I expected the items to be pricey compared to the big box stores, but I was not at all dissapointed in the quality. The only complaint I had is that I just couldn't take in all that the store offers. I'm very happy with the store and wish the owners all the blessings for a long and fruitful tenure in Orange.

I stopped in recently and was very disappointed with their selection of bean grinders and pasta…Read More machine attachments. Pretty sad that a department store(Target) has a more extensive selection of grinders. The prices on what they did have in those 2 product lines were not competitive with other brick and mortar stores either.

Whooo holy comments LOL I'm home recovering today and I came to this article. The comments were…Read More more entertaining than the article! I need Xmas gift and was curious so I called the 3 locations. No one answered at the Orange location. I wasn't able to get much information from the Berlin location other than they are in NO Way and they empahized No Way affiliated with the Orange location therefore, gift cards & returns from Orange will NOT be exchangeable in the Berlin or Wallingford or vice versa. I then call the Wallingford location. Upon calling the Wallingford location they reiterated both Berlin and Wallingford have zero affilicaiton with the Orange location. I explained to the associate I was heading down to do some shopping in a week, I'm from the Valley I asked could giftcards be redeemed in Orange. I was told No! I asked about what was going on with the company and they had NO comment. So I asked why are they all using the same name and the woman chuckled and said " I honestly don't know " . I told her I found it very confusing to have two stores affilated and one not, yet they're all DBA Chefs. I am not happy about the closest location being independant of the others but honesly I can't frequent the high end kitchen stores so when I do it will be a road trip Home Goods, Chef's and Vinny's.
