<p>The Orange Police Department serves the community 24/7 with 43 sworn officers and 12 civilian employees. Chief Robert Gagne oversees the men and women of the department, with Assistant Chief Edward Koether.</p>
<p>Orange police officers are the town's first responders and are trained Medical Response Technicians (MRTs) or Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs).</p> <p>The Orange police run an annual Citizen's Police Academy to educate residents on the behind-the-scenes workings of the department. Its members also work with the Woodbridge Police on Drunken Driving checkpoints and other regional law enforcement community assignments.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
