DeLauro Dodge Ball

For all of our citizens, the bottom line is this: If DeLauro remains in office, all the problems will remain, due to her failures, her intransigence, her ineffectiveness, and her incumbency.

Wayne Winsley, committed candidate to represent all of the citizens of Connecticut's 3rd Congressional District, today released the following statement regarding Incumbent Rosa DeLauro.

"Fellow citizens, Incumbent DeLauro will soon depart Congress, leaving a legacy of failed representation.

Her original story of narrow self-interest, and her sequel story of insider special interest groups, is why the personal story for so many citizens in the 3rd Congressional District is a personal story of dealing with ongoing economic struggles. For so many of our fellow citizens, their personal struggles are due to:

  • No Jobs…
  • No Money…
  • No Food… for their Families.

For all those people, the problem is DeLauro -- her intransigence, her ineffectiveness, and her incumbency.

For so many of our fellow citizens, their lives are full of Stress and Anxiety struggling to:

  • Pay the Rent…
  • Prevent Foreclosure…
  • Prevent Car Repossession…
  • Paying Stifling Taxes.

For all of our citizens, the bottom line is this: If DeLauro remains in office all the problems will remain due to her failures, her intransigence, her ineffectiveness, and her incumbency.

It's time for DeLauro to go. It's time for all of our fellow citizens to be able to get back to work, to be able to get out of debt, and be able to enjoy their life, personal liberty, and happiness with their family.

The insider 'DeLauro Dodge Ball' game is nearing its end. Picking the people's pockets will soon end too. As your next representative, I, Wayne
Winsley, will serve the citizens of the Third Congressional District with forthrightness, honor, and integrity.

But Chris, this is right out of the book of centralizing an economy. This is the Marxist dream of workers of the world uniting. What they seem to leave out of the story is how it has always ended. How it ended for the Romanovs, Mensheviks, the Kulaks, the Unkranian, the Displaced Jews, the workers, the property owners, the loyalist generals, the partisans, the useless eaters and all who were once needed to form the majority. We are already starting to see the purge in journalism where the useful idiot- puppet faces are being terminated and, even worse, exposed for all sorts of things.

To “Meadow Lane”: The original focus of this thread—and Wayne Winsley’s article—is Delauro’s failures and avoidance of issues via diversion tactics. However, in response to YOUR diversion tactic, I’ll point out that in Ryan’s plan—which Romney is not committed to following—the $5 trillion in “cuts” are merely reductions from the much-higher spending anticipated by President Obama’s budget. (See tables in pdf below, starting on page 88.) Ryan’s plan merely SLOWS the growth in federal spending over the next 10 years—a slower growth than the unsustainable, irresponsible Obama plan—which DeLauro supports. But don’t take my word for it. And don’t listen to media propaganda. Read it yourself: http://paulryan.house.gov/uploadedfiles/pathtoprosperity2013.pdf

Before some of you jump on the bash Wayne Winsley bandwagon, entertain this for a moment...HONESTLY Ask yourself, how long have you been crying for change and.how long have you gotten ticked off on how things are handled in DC?..how long??.10, 15, 20 years?? Well, who has been in office for about 20years? That's right, Rosa Delauro...In that time, other than state workers and unions..what has she REALLY done for the working people of CT...What has she done for you.???
Now when you are HONEST with yourself to come up with an answer, then ask yourself this...What do your REALLY know about Wayne Winsley other than he's running against Rosa Delauro? Do you limit your criticisms to references acquired via blogs or other websites.. If so, you are nothing but another lamb being led by a deceitful herder...

You will not be the next Congressman from the 3rd CD unless Christopher Schaefer and his ilk get to vote multiple times. Please find some other forum to spout this nonsense.
Ed August 20, 2012 at 05:26 pm
You're welcome...I still don't know who I'm voting for though, but we do have till November to make up our minds...

To Michael Brown: Your comment is a common diversion tactic—used in debates by those who are unable to deal in facts.
Yooper August 20, 2012 at 05:47 pm
So Romney is not committed to Ryan's plan, but you want to defend it. Pretty much sums up the R&R campaign so far. Who's on first?
Michael Brown August 20, 2012 at 05:48 pm
I've spent much to much of my time reading your "facts." Time to move on.
Yooper August 20, 2012 at 05:50 pm
In January 2010 the former Massachusetts governor proudly cast a ballot for Republican Scott Brown in the special election to replace the late Sen. Ted Kennedy. He didn't own property in the state at the time, and had registered to vote listing his son's unfinished basement as his residence. Massachusetts law defines a residence for voter registration purposes as where a person dwells and which is the center of his domestic, social, and civil life.€ Anyone found guilty of committing voter fraud faces up to five years behind bars and a fine of $10,000.
Is this the voter fraud that you're concerned about? Or are you worried that illegal Mexican voters are going to swarm to the polls to get Obama reelected? What we need to be worried about is the Republican party engaging in massive ELECTION FRAUD with all the voter SUPPRESSION legislation being passed by right wing governors. The Republicans can't win an election on the issues so they have to resort to dirty tricks to keep the voters away.

To Yooper: “The original focus of this thread—and Wayne Winsley’s article—is DeLauro’s failures and avoidance of issues via diversion tactics.” And YOUR comment is likewise a common diversion tactic—used in debates by those who are unable to deal in facts—in this case, facts about DeLauro.
Christopher Schaefer August 20, 2012 at 06:04 pm
"Time to move on." I totally agree. And the best way to do so is to replace DeLauro with Wayne Winsley!
Michael Brown August 20, 2012 at 06:33 pm
Winsley's election to Congress will accomplish one good thing. Hell will freeze over.
Ed August 20, 2012 at 07:30 pm
Whatever Delauro is doing, its not working...Isn't 20 years long enough??? If you are unable to seen beyond this career politician to help bring any change to this state, then you are nothing more than an obstructionist.
Michael Brown August 20, 2012 at 07:49 pm
I disagree with your premise. Also, I don't want the kind of "Change" Winsley would bring to Congress. CT does not need (or want) a Tea Party darling as a representative.
Ed August 21, 2012 at 02:33 am
@Michael, that is why you are an obstructionist. Your presumption that you appear know what is best for CT indicates to me a lack of humility on your part. The same type of political arrogance that has infested our country for the last decade.
What's ironic is that I actually vote mostly Democrat, but I have an overarching disgust for people who seem to find some twisted justification for vilifying people, who they do not know all, simply based on their political party
Naugatalk August 21, 2012 at 03:31 am
Poor Rosa. Hahahah that's a laugh. From what I heard she's a millionaire and with so much money she should invest in a complete makeover! She must shop for her wardrobe at the Halloween store! Rosa get rid of the pointy hat and the jet powered broom and those bangs gotta go they are not flattering!
WoodbridgeWatch August 21, 2012 at 01:15 pm
DeLauro is bought and paid for by the unions- so any decisions she makes begins and ends with what her cronies want.
Ed August 21, 2012 at 01:47 pm
@Woodbridge...With unions in your backpocket and canolis in your hands, the world is your playground. It's obviously working for her as a career strategy, but stinks for the people she is supposed to represent in the 3rd. I guess if minors were union members I wouldn't be too concerned, but we all know that not to be true.
Michael Brown August 21, 2012 at 02:11 pm
Vilify? Is being a card carrying member of the Tea Party akin to being a vilian?
Ed August 21, 2012 at 04:20 pm
Actually, no DEM, REP,IND, TeaParty, Green Party are actual villians...only the people who paint them out to be thru rhetoric and mental manipulation via the Internet and media. It is those individual who have no regard for others with differing political views that are the villians. Those arrogant individuals who believe they know everything and that everyone else knows nothing. It's being too vane to entertain differing viewpoints in hope of coming to a compromise that is villianous. There are a lot of villians today, not all of them sitting in political office. IMO, politicians play to the public and if the public exhibits a villianous attitude towards others with different political opinions, they simply follow suit to ensure their re-election.
MAC August 21, 2012 at 06:45 pm
Mr. Brown, if you did not "move on" as you promised yesterday, what exactly do you find objectionable about the Common Sense principles of the tea party (most of whose members carry no "card" btw)?
Those "Common Sense principles" include Personal Responsibility, Limited Government, Respect for the Constitution and Rule of Law, and "Don't SPEND more than you take in!" Tea partyers are AGAINST "Crony Capitalism," BAILOUTS and the entire notion of the government "picking winners and losers," incentivizing DEPENDENCY, and interfering more and more with citizens' daily lives! Most Americans entirely agree with the above "principles," as does Wayne Winsley--thus he wants to do what is best for the nation as a whole, rather than a narrow, crony capitalist and "dependent" constituency, such as public sector unions--which is what career politician DeLauro does! Mr. Brown, just tell us what you DO believe in. Is it Statism, wealth redistribution and "crony capitalism," or are you one of the privileged public sector union employees with your higher salaries and benefits?
Michael Brown August 21, 2012 at 08:56 pm
What do our opponents mean when they apply to us the label "Liberal?" If by "Liberal" they mean, as they want people to believe, someone who is soft in his policies abroad, who is against local government, and who is unconcerned with the taxpayer's dollar, then ... we are not that kind of "Liberal." But if by a "Liberal" they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people -- their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties -- someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a "Liberal," then I'm proud to say I'm a "Liberal." [John F. Kennedy, September 14, 1960]

Bush= the worst President ever, as a result of his dishonest war, that cost over 4,000 lives. Bad guy!!
Kennedy= one of the Presidents we admire greatly as a result of his dishonest war that cost over 58,000 lives. If dishonest wars, that cost young men their lives is the yardstick, by which we measure Presidents, then Michael, would you mind if I post some awesome speeches made by Bush? I fought in Vietnam--combat duty. I lost friends. And this is the man that you admire so greatly? While pointing to Bush as a man who caused great pain? To who? You? I listened to NPR yesterday, the Democrat states are the cheapest when it comes to donations. (lowest 9 charity states all voted for Obama in 2008. States giving the top 8 donations all voted for McCain. So, when I listen to how 'liberals' are for the 'welfare of the people'---there should be a parenthetical addition, to include (liberals are for the welfare of the people, as long as they , themselves , are not charged. ). I think most good people, care about other people. But the liberals play the race card, the social guilt card, yet fail to actually contribute to their stated cause. In summary, Kennedy is no one I listen to; I judge people on their individual actions, and yelling for the (rich) people over there, to give money to the poor, is not really my idea of a good person. Kennedy was richer than Romney, he didnt disclose his taxes. You might reconsider who you admire.

This is your current Representative to the US House of Representatives. Is this as good as it gets or maybe, just maybe, the voters in the 3rd District might vote for somebody better. In her own words Rosa DeLauro disqualifies herself from extending her tenure beyond 11 terms. Patheticm just pathetic!
