What You Didn't See: CERT Deployment (video)

For the first time, we bring you behind the scenes to the CERT deployment on March 20, 2011.

The all volunteer Orange Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) was activated on Sunday afternoon, March 20, to search through 200 acres of swamp land off of Route 34, in Orange.

We start with the very first phone call to team members from the parking lot of moments after the activation was announced.

See what these highly trained community volunteers do in their spare time.

The sound on the video was faint at the end. So, as Emergency Management Director Fred Palmer said in his comment below, anyone interested in joining CERT should call the at 203-891-4711.
