Beat the Heat: Orange Opens Cooling Centers

Here are the locations and hours for where you can stay cool in town.

To help residents beat the heat this week, Orange has opened two cooling centers in town.

Fred Palmer, the Town's Emergency Management Director, announced the openings Monday afternoon. Here's everything you need to know:

High Plains Community Center

  • Monday to Thursday: 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Availability is limited by several ongoing activities.
  • Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Availability is limited by several ongoing activities.

Case Memorial Library   

  • Monday and Thursday: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Saturday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
