Orange Elementary School Olympics!

On June 5, 2012, more than 150 elementary school children in the town of Orange will compete in the 6th Annual “Orange Elementary School Olympic Festival”.  The Festival will run for one day only from 4pm to 7pm at the .  Athletes must qualify in order to compete against their peers from the three Orange elementary schools in one or more of the seven festival events. Rain date is set for June 6th.

One of the goals of the program is to give children an opportunity to display their athletic talents in a school-affiliated venue.  Our hope is that many of these children will associate this positive experience with their academic experience, creating feelings of confidence and pride in their work, thus producing the foundation for the development of true student-athletes.

Bring your appetites!! Food will be available to be purchased under the pavilion during the event for spectators.  An international flavor will be served from On the Border, Reno's Pizzaria and George the Ice Cream Man!
