Breakers win 18U Championship Title

The Breakers claim their second 18U Championship title in as many weeks with a solid performance at the Raiders Summer Ruckus held in Meriden CT. After going 2-1 on Saturday with wins over the Raiders Blue team and the CT Strikers but falling to the Hudson River Panthers, the Breakers seeded # 3 in their bracket.

On Sunday the Breakers met # 2 Xplosion and won 6-2. Moving ahead the Breakers then faced the # 4 CT Titans and came away with a 2-1 victory with an exciting come from behind win. 

Reaching the final the Breakers would face the # 1 Brewster Rockets. Going up 9-0 with some amazing hitting after 5 the Breakers fell victims to a Rocket power attack with the Rockets climbing back into the game trailing 9-6. The Breakers wasted no time and scored 3 more in the top of the 6th going up 12-6 where it would stay.
