It didn't matter if the hand-carved pine cars were fast or slow, all the scouts in Pack 923 at Race Brook School had an opportunity to win a title in the Pinewood Derby, a traditional event for Cub Scouts everywhere.
The electronic track timed the cars to the millisecond as they crossed the finish line and there was never a doubt as to which car came in second.
Pack 923 has a tradition of racing the cars from the fastest to the slowpoke division.
The boys showed true scouting spirit, congratulating the winners, even if they themselves did not win.
Numerous scouts will receive trophies at the Blue and Gold Dinner later this year.
