UConn Educators Will Oversee Teacher Evaluation Pilot Program

According to an article by the Connecticut Post, state officials designated UConn’s Neag School of Education as official observers for the pilot program. The state announced early this month that Amity Regional School District 5 is one of ten districts in the pilot program.

The new teacher evaluation program is part of an educational reform packages passed by the Legislature this spring. It will put greater weight on how student performance. A state Evaluation Advisory Council is still working on the specific evaluation guidelines.
