Orange Teacher Uses Weather Web Site for Education

Fifth grade teacher Erica Campbell says it lets her combine her love of children, teaching and the weather.

teacher Erica Campbell, who to set up an Internet chat about history with a class in Hamden, has found another way to use the Internet as a teaching tool.

In a WTNH promo for its new interactive weather web site, WXedge.com, the article calls Campbell, who teaches 5th grade at Peck Place School, a "self-proclaimed weather buff" who uses Channel 8’s weather forecasts to teach history and math.

Campbell said it allows her to combine her love of teaching, love of children and love of weather science and that is why she became a teacher in the first place.
