Lynn McMullin began her job as Orange School Superintendent on Tuesday.

 

Lynn McMullin replaced Tim James as the Orange School Superintendent on Tuesday, Jan. 3.

Here, she introduces herself to the Orange community, shares some ideas and her vision for the future of the Orange School System.

We spoke with her at the Board of Ed wing of .

Later that afternoon and into the evening, McMullin joined membes of the Board of Education on an inspection of the four public schools in town, looking at furnaces, parking lots, exterior structural concerns, "ancient" carpeting and hearing about asbestos in some areas that may eventually become a problem.

Yes, reception for the new super is going to be on the 25th. It will be at THS or Racebrook, we are checking availability. An invitation will be extended to parents, staff, community members, etc early next week!

Excellent Jeanne, thanks for answering that question! I think everyone will like her a lot. Now if only we could get everyone to realize that the town could win $100,000 if they vote on the Koether entry — what a great welcome present for Ms McMullin that would be!

Mary L. Tracy was the first school in Orange. God how I remember that School. Not going to say how many YEARS ago. I will say I don't work anymore lol lol. And then off to both Amity's Orange and Woodbridge. My Daughter went to Race Brook School. But Mary L. Tracy that was a School back in those days. Hope it's the same now. But anyway you Orange people who remember that School? If so why are you people no Voting for our Schools to win. I do everyday. (Are You?)
