Here's Your "Big Shot" To See An American Idol

Gabi Carubba from North Haven is now battling it out with other talented contestants to be the next American Idol.

On Friday, March 16, American Idol contestant Gabi Carubba will join the renowned Billy Joel tribute band "Big Shot" during their performance at Amity Regional High School, 25 Newton Road, Woodbridge.

This show will be a fundraiser for the Amity Theater Department.  All proceeds will go to benefit the students representing Amity at the Edinburgh International Theater Festival in August 2012.

All tickets are $25 (reserved seating).

Big Shot features the vocals and piano of Michael DelGuidice, a well-known and respected Long Island multi-instrumentalist. Close your eyes and you'll swear Billy Joel is on stage at Amity.

DelGuidice is backed by Movin’ Out, one of the most dynamic and seasoned bands in the music industry and on this night, Gabi Carubba will be singing onstage with them.

My family and I saw her at Amity in the Spelling Bee with Jason and John a couple of years ago and she was great! My daughter has been watching Idol to keep up with her, but I'm usually catching some zzzzzzzs before I head off to work so I haven't seen her. We'll be sure to order our tickets soon, as Amity shows usually sell out very very quickly.
