Amity Theater Wows Judges, Earns 12 Nominations

For the second consecutive year Amity will be going to the CT High School Musical Awards

Six months in the making, braving through snow storm delays and then countless rehearsals, the Amity Theater Department put on an amazing production of "Chicago" in April.

The sold out run earned standing ovations night after night with local audience appreciation. On at least two of those nights judges from the Spirit of Broadway committee also were watching the show and, well, judging every move the actors made.

On Sunday, the judges revealed their nominees for the 2011 CT High School Musical Theater Awards which will take place at Waterbury's Palace Theater on Monday, June 6. Amity is up for 12 Awards.
