Amity Students Hope to Make History

Beating a Guinness World Record can sometimes be a daunting chore, but for 31 Amity High School students it may be as simple as showing up at school on Wednesday.

On Wednesday, Oct. 19, the Amity High School Class of 2012 will attempt to break the record for the most amount of twins in an academic year at a school.

Amity has 14 sets of twins and 1 set of triplets in this class, beating the current record of 13 from the Pomperaug (CT) High School class of 2010.

In order to break this record, however, they need to have media coverage, witnesses, and an event at a public place.

The three Amity first selectmen will be present at the High School at 9:30 a.m. to act as witnesses for the event and support the students from their towns.
