Amity Schools Update: Sports Schedule and More

Amity Middle School-Orange
- Students will take the Stanford Diagnostic Reading Test Wednesday, September 19. The timed test is designed to measure reading comprehension, and students who score below the 50th percentile will be eligible for reading remediation.
- AMSO is planning a career and interest fair this year, and is inviting parents to come share their professions and talents with students. The fair is planned for the end of March, but the school is reaching out to interested parents now. "From Doctors to Lawyers, Musicians to Jugglers…..Dentists and Dancers…..Engineers and Artists…..whatever you do. Do you work in a restaurant? Do you work on machinery? Do you detail automobiles? We want to open up the world of careers and interests to AMSO students. Are you a banker? A college professor? Do you farm? Are you a researcher? An inventor? Etc., Etc., Etc.,….," writes principal Kathleen Fuller-Cutler. Interested parents should call Pam Pero in the guidance office at 203-392-3200, ext. 2022.
Amity High School
- Amity will host Senior Parent Night Thursday, September 20, at 7 p.m. After initial remarks from counseling services director Robert Schumann, parents will have the chance to meet in small groups with counselors.
- Through the week, students will have the chance to meet with representatives from colleges and universities, and receive excused absences from class for meetings. Schedule for college / university meetings:
