Amity School Board Acts On Budget Items

Last night the Amity Board of education took final action on two important items.

1. The 2012-2013 budget request.

2. A bond offering to pay for roof refurbishment that will cover the older sections of the high school roof, new air handling units for the boys and girls locker rooms at the high school and a repaving project at the middle school in Orange.

Attached are brief overviews of each item. Of course the most important is the 2012-2013 budget request, which you will see is an increase of 0.47% or $204,541 higher than the current year’s budget.

Supt. John Brady said, "I hope you will take a close look at both documents and remember to vote in the referendum which will be held on May 8 in all three towns."
