Amity High School Open to Those Without Power

Following is a letter from Amity High School Principal Charles Britton to the tri-town community.

Amity Regional High School is open today. The facilities will remain open until 11 pm tonight. The library media center will be open until 5 pm. The cafeteria and locker rooms will remain open until 11 pm.

Members of the BOW communities who do not have power are welcome to use the high school facilities to charge cell phones and electronic devices, take hot showers, or just get warm.

At 7:30 p.m. tonight, the Amity Music Department will be performing Music in Motion.

With respect to attendance, any absences directly resulting from this weekend’s storm will be excused.

Please communicate with the high school main office; we will be demonstrating maximum flexibility with respect to attendance and missed work resulting from this weekend’s storm.

Teachers have been asked to post assignments online and demonstrate maximum with respect to any missed work. Students are asked to speak with teachers and address concerns related to missed work on a case-by-case basis.
