Amity Football Field Dedication Complete
Before the big game, the Sim Athletic Complex was named and the Amity football field and press box received new names as well.
Discussions about renaming the Sim Field went back and forth at Amity Board of Ed meetings for quite some time until earlier this year when the Board announced that it would definitly honor former football coach Bill Johnson and longtime announcer Stan Gedansky without forgetting the late William Sim for whom the field had been dedicated many years ago.
