On Saturday, Nov. 12 the Amity Debate Team hosted 178 students representing 17 schools from around the state for a Connecticut Debate Association League tournament.
Amity continued to demonstrate a strong ability to defend its home turf; one Amity team defeated another Amity team in the finals, and took first and second place in the tournament.
Three Amity teams qualified for the state finals in the spring. In the novice division, Amity had three debaters qualify for the state finals.

Overall, Amity had 38 debaters in its delegation, the largest delegation from one school in Connecticut Debate Association history.
