Davis, California, a town with 63,000 people has more than 2,456 votes so far in the finals, compared to Orange, Connecticut with a population of 14,000 or so, and about 451 votes as of midnight.

The Finalist round began at  9 a.m. our time on Friday, which was California's 6 a.m. so they had a 3 hour head start, and from reading the comments on the forerunners entry, the townspeople also had a headsup, so they knew to go online and dive into the voting.

The California contestants also, apparently appeared on a television show to publicize their good fortune (according to one of the comments) our Orange contestants did not have that advantage. So now, it's up to us.

We have more than 700 Facebook followers on Patch, so why don't we have at least 700 votes yet?
