Include Mom or Grandma on Your Wedding Day!

Having a difficult time deciding how to incorporate your mother or grandmother on your wedding day? Here are some ideas for you to consider!

Though vintage heirloom wedding gowns can be gorgeous and meaningful, a bride may not always want to wear one.  You may want the experience of
shopping and finding that one dress that’s perfect for you!  We all know how special a mother and daughter’s relationship can be and there are ways to incorporate your mother on your wedding day.  If she wore a veil, getting
that same veil cleaned and restored is a way to wear something of hers without
compromising your dress choice.  Orange Restoration Labs specializes in cleaning and restoring wedding gown and veils.  Visit our website for more information on restoration at www.gownrestoration.com.

There is a possibility that the veil does not match your dress or is un-restorable.  If this is the case, there are other alternatives.  You can have you part of the
old veil or wedding gown sewn into the inside of your dress. This is a way that
you can walk down the isle knowing your mother or grandmother is walking right
along with you.

Another way you can include your loved one is by having part of the veil or their gown made into jewelry.  If their gown or veil has a beaded section, you can take a small piece of it and make it into a necklace or bracelet.  This is a very sentimental and could be worn on numerous occasions. It is a way to carry the memory of a loved one along with you even after there passing. It would be a sentimental possession representing one of their most cherished days.
