Renting vs Buying

Race Brook Country Club 2012

Wedding Tips from the Orange Wedding Consortium, an affiliate of the Orange Chamber of Commerce.

This week's tips are brought to you by Maryann White, Coldwell Banker Residential Broker, helping couples find their perfect home.

When starting a life together as newlyweds, you want everything to be perfect.  But you also want everything to be affordable.   In this type of real-estate market, buying a house may be cheaper than renting.  Most young couples assume that buying a house after the wedding is out of the question (due to money).  But what they seem to overlook is that the rent they are paying, that does not go towards any ownership of property, could potentially be going towards owning a house.  The longer you wait to purchase a house, the more of your hard earned money goes to a land-lord, not benefitting you.  Houses have become more affordable these days due to the recession.  This has made houses decrease in price, but uphold high-quality.  Right now is the time to buy.  The real-estate market fluctuates parallel to the economy, and right now, it is a buyers market!

They should also be tested for other genetic disorders, such as Wilson's disease, which causes theRead More liver to store copper, eventually leading to acute liver failure. Unfortunately, the person who has it doesn't usually know until they are in liver failure. This disease killed my friend's daughter at the age of 6 - and they never knew until it was too late. My personal feeling is if there is a way to non-invasively test for these types of illnesses - no matter how rare - it should be done.
