Hurricane Resources in Orange

No power? We're here to help! Access the Internet and Wi-Fi, charge your devices, get answers to your storm-related questions, and stay safe in a warm place at the Case Memorial Library.

Hurricane Sandy has left more than 70 percent of Orange customers without power, but there are a few resources in town available to help meet your needs.

The Case Memorial Library is open from 10 to 5 today for anyone who wants access to the Internet, free Wi-Fi, to charge their devices, or stay safe in a warm place. There are plenty of great magazines and books if you want some "unplugged" fun to take home with you. You don't need your library card to access our computers or Wi-Fi, but be sure to bring it with you if you want to check out materials. Librarians are also available to help you with any storm related questions you may have either in person, by telephone: 203-891-2170, or by email: caseref@lioninc.org. The Library will be open until 8 p.m. tomorrow, until 5 p.m. Friday, and 4 p.m. on Saturday.

High Plains Community Center is open for residents who want to take a hot shower, charge their devices, or stay safe in a warm place. Cots are available and volunteers are ready to assist.

If you know of any other good resources for those affected by the storm, please share them in the comments.
