University Comes Back with Revised Plans

The University of New Haven's revised plans for the Hubbell Property in Orange will be the subject of a public hearing.


Following a denial from the Orange Zoning Board of Appeals, The University of New Haven is coming back to the town with revised plans.

The university's revised plans to operate its graduate program at the former Hubbell property will be the subject of a public hearing before the Town Plan & Zoning Commission on Tuesday, April 16, at 7:30 p.m. in the lower level conference room at Orange Town Hall.

The application under consideration is a special use permit and site plan review for the property at 584 Derby-Milford Road. Also included is a temporary special use permit for earth materials removal and filling for parking areas.

New Medical/Office Building Also on the Agenda 

The zoning commission will also hold a public hearing on an application submitted by Strathmore Holdings LLC for the property at 200 Orange Center Road.

The temporary special use permit for earth materials removal and filling is for a proposal to construct a 5,320-square-foot medical/office building and associated site improvements.
