Republicans Open Campaign Headquarters Oct. 5

The campaign season is heating up with the opening of the Republican Headquarters and announcement of a couple of upcoming fundraisers.

The Orange Republican Town Committee welcomes residents to the grand opening of its headquarters at 33 Old Tavern Road (Firelite Shopping Center) on Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 7:30 p.m.

Rick Roberts, ORTC Chairman, said this free open house will give residents an opportunity to meet the candidates for office. Refreshments will be served.

“We have an extremely talented, energetic and dedicated group of candidates who will make valuable contributions to town government,” Roberts said.

The slate includes

• First Selectman Jim Zeoli

• Board of Selectmen candidates John Carangelo, Ralph Okenquist and Judy Wright Williams.

Other candidates include:

• Board of Finance - Kevin Houlihan, Jim Leahy, Fred Kendrick and Glen Ketchian

• Planning & Zoning - Ralph Aschettino, Judy Smith Morgan and John Belfonti

• Tax Collector – Sandra Pierson

• Orange Board of Education - Keith Marquis, Robert Ricciardi and William Kraut

• Amity Board of Education – Christopher Browe, Leticia Hashem, John Grasso, Jr. and Tracey Lane Russo

• Constables - Jody Daymon, Kristen Marquis, Mike Donadeo and Jeff Vargo.

Fundraisers

The public also is invited to attend a Pancake Dinner for the whole family at Chips Restaurant, Tuesday Oct. 11, at 5 p.m. and an Octoberfest at the Bear and Grill Restaurant on Saturday, Oct. 29, at 7:30 p.m. More information will follow.
