New Finance Director Sworn In (video)

Sal DeCola was sworn in at the Board of Selectmen's meeting on Wednesday.

This week Salvatore A. DeCola was named the new Director of Finance & Administration for the town of Orange, replacing Al Chiarenzelli who is retiring this month after many years of service. 

Chiarenzelli said he is “enormously pleased to have found a candidate with Sal’s experience and comprehensive knowledge.”

DeCola is a graduate of Quinnipiac University with a strong, diversified background in municipal finance, and holds a State of Connecticut certification as a school Business Administrator.

He also is an active member of both the Connecticut and National Government Finance Officer’s Association.

First Selectman James Zeoli said, "The town of Orange is pleased to welcome Sal after more than 23 years with the City of New Haven as Chief Financial Administrator.  He is a life-long Connecticut resident, and currently resides in Hamden."

Town Clerk Pat O'Sullivan administered the oath of office to DeCola at The Board of Selectmen's meeting on Wednesday night.
