I attended a meeting @ Viscount Dr today where my family member lives. They are actually safer than many of us. They have a kitchen in the community room where they can cook if and when the power goes out. It was suggested if they are concerned about their food spoiling that they bring and share whatever food they have and "have a community dinner" for all who reside there. They can also shower in their own apts and use their toilets. I can rest that my family member is in one of the safest buildings in Milford we were told. I hope that's true.

Hey Mike - I saw this photo from up the road, about half a mile up the road towards the Beach House and the flagpole and beach avenue: http://twitpic.com/b8i4ec I think that was taken around 10am, and the water is already up to the sidewalk. That's not quite that area, but might give a sense, at least.

I found this map, located on the Milford city web site, to be helpful in determining what areas and street locations in the town are expected to flood. http://www.ci.milford.ct.us/public_documents/MilfordCT_Storm/StormMaps/Milford%20CT%20Slosh%20Map.pdf IIRC, I heard Gov. Malloy state that this event could have the equivalent storm surge of a Cat 4 hurricane, given the unique weather conditions in play.
