Here's what they talked about at the Board of Selectmen's meeting on Wednesday night.

• Highway Dept. says No On-Street Parking allowed during snowstorms.

• Amity Middle School Orange Campus had an issue with the heavy snow on the roof on Tuesday. The price quote to clean up the accumulations, which, in some areas was nine feet, could have cost upwards of $45,000, but Amity officials found a less expensive option.

• The cost for renovating two bathrooms at the High Plains Community Center was quoted at $9,000, but town officials found a contractor who will do the job for $6000 ($3,000 each bathroom).

• The Economic Development Corporation announced that the town lost 14 businesses in 2010, but the good news is, 38 new businesses opened.

• Currently retail vacancies are at 8.27% and office space vacancies are recorded at 7.8%

• The Orange Economic Development Commission's quarterly magazine "Orange Life" grew from 48 pages in its first issue to 64 pages in its second installment. The full-color magazine covers business stories and information along with local news and photographs.Everyone in town receives it for free.

• The 10th annual Orange Business Expo will take place June 15 at the Yale Orange Campus. The event will accommodate 66 vendors, of which 22 slots already are filled.

• There are only 11 remaining Orange street banner spaces available on the Boston Post Road.

• The Orange Lions Club will host its Taste Of Amity on Thursday, May 19.

• A juried art show was unanimously approved for June 25 on the Orange Fairgrounds.
