Flags Back at Full Staff at Sunset Nov. 10

Flags were at half staff for 9 days to honor New London soldier killed in Afghanistan.

Governor Dannel P. Malloy ordered the Connecticut and U.S. flags returned to full staff at sunset today.

Flags were lowered on Nov. 1, in honor of Sergeant Ari Cullers, who was killed in action while repairing a bulldozer in Kandahar Province, Afghanistan.

Sgt. Cullers, 28, of New London, served in the Army's HHC Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 3rd Brigade Combat Team (BCT) and was stationed out of Ft. Drum, NY.
