Campaign Notebook: Chris Murphy as Ferris Bueller?

Chris Murphy faces criticism for his attendance record at committee meetings by his opponent. An independent investigation by Hearst Connecticut Newspapers backs up the claim that Murphy missed three-fourths of the hearings during 2007-08, when the economy started rapidly declining. Linda McMahon (R): The Wall Street Journal acknowledges that it seems like a Republican has no chance in Connecticut, but the results of a Ramussen poll shows McMahon with a slight lead. According to the Wall Street Journal, “One poll doesn't make a race. But this one sure does make this race more interesting.”

Rosa DeLauro (D) condemned the much-criticized “legitimate rape” comments of U.S. Rep. Todd Akin in Missouri. On Facebook, she wrote that, “Rep. Akin's views are in the mainstream of the current Republican party.”

“It makes perfect sense. Our economy will improve when more people get back to work. More people will get back to work when businesses begin growing again. Businesses will grow when government gets out of the way.”
