Amity School Superintendent John Brady is perhaps one of the least popular people in the tri towns right now because of his Amity Budget presentation requesting a $1.6 million (2.8%) and he's asking that $1.3 million of that come from the town of Orange.
A story in the Amity Observer outlines all the numbers, Zeoli's reaction and Brady's reasoning.
The one thing that Brady hoped to do was have the communities vote on the budget in one large district meeting rather than by referendum. That idea met with resistance and was eliminated. Each town will have a referendum as in past years.
