Woman Charged with Possession of Heroin

Orange police say the Milford woman had the drugs and pipes in her car.


A Milford woman who was reportedly in possession of heroin and smoking pipes when Orange police pulled her vehicle over has been arrested.

According to a report from the Orange Police Department, Shannon Bennett, 35, turned herself in at headquarters at 3:30 p.m. on March 1. She was charged with:

  • Possession of narcotics
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

"Officers served a warrant on the arrestee at police headquarters on the above date and time," the report states. "The warrant stemmed from a motor vehicle stop on Feb. 19, 2013, when she was found to be in possession of heroin and smoking pipes."

Bennett was released after posting bond, police said.
