Tools Stolen From Trailer At Construction Site

Connecticut State Police say the tools were taken from a trailer at the northbound rest stop in Orange on Route 15.

Connecticut State Police say they suspect that thieves who stole tools from a trailer at the Mobil on Route 15 gained entry from a local road in Orange.

The gas station is currently under construction and closed to traffic; it backs up to Prudden Lane in Orange and is closed off by a fence.

Police say the thief or thieves may have parked a vehicle on Prudden Lane during the incident, which took place sometimes between 4:30 p.m. on July 23 and 7 a.m. on July 24, according to a report at Troop I barracks in Bethany.

Taken from the trailer were numerous power tools, hand tools and a laptop, police said. No value was given for the items.
