Three DUIs, two on the Post Road, all early Saturday morning.

 

Saturday, July 14, 1:07 a.m.:

Police received a complaint that a vehicle was driving erratically on the Post Road. Officers found the vehicle and conducted roadside sobriety tests. Driver Sergio Soler of Milford was taken into custody and charged with DUI. He was released with a $50 bond and will appear in court August 3.

Saturday, July 14, 1:10 a.m.:

Officers clocked a vehicle traveling at 66mph in a 40mph zone on the Post Road. They stopped the vehicle performed sobriety tests. Driver Timothy Morton of New Haven was subsequently taken into custody and charged with DUI and speeding. He was released with a $50 bond and will appear in court August 3.

Saturday, July 14: 2:21 a.m.:

Police responded to a one-vehicle accident on Derby-Milford Road. After conducting roadside sobriety tests, they charged driver Nora Walczak with DUI, Failure to Drive in the Proper Lane and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She was released with a $50 bond and will appear in court August 3.

My personal feeling is if there is a way to non-invasively test for these types of illnesses - no matter how rare - it should be done.
