Shelton Police 'Working Tirelessly' on Teen Shooting Investigation

Police say they are aware of threats that were reportedly made against the 15-year-old who was shot and killed, Kristjan Ndoj.

Shelton Police say they are working tirelessly to track down the person who shot and killed 15-year-old Kristjan Ndoj.

Police were joined by officials from Shelton Public Schools and a lawyer representing Ndoj's family at a press conference Thursday afternoon at the high school were the teen was a student. The press conference took place about three hours after police announced that Ndoj had passed away in a hospital, five days after he was found shot in the head and leg in a driveway in the city.

Police declined to provide information as to what brought Ndoj to that Agawam Trail residence Saturday night. A report by WTNH says he went there with a friend to meet a group.

Police said Thursday they believe the shots came from the wooded area near the house. When officers arrived shortly before 9 p.m., Ndoj was lying in the driveway with life-threatening gunshot wounds.

In its report, WTNH goes on to note that Ndoj had apparently received a threat on his life prior to the shooting. “My boyfriend is going to kill you,” a girl had reportedly told him.

Shelton Police said Thursday that they are aware of those threats, and they are being investigated along with all other possible leads.

"It's a very complex investigation," Shelton Police said. "It's very important to do the right thing."

Police said that many people have asked why an arrest has not been made yet.

"We're being methodical," police said. "We're working tirelessly ... to chase down all leads."

Meanwhile, Shelton High School Headmaster Beth Smith said a crisis team remains available to anyone who may need it.

"We have an extremely talented crisis team here at Shelton High School," she said.
