Reports Of Erratic Driver Result In DUI Charge On Rt. 34

A 29-year-old Hamden man was arrested on a charge of DUI at 1:09 a.m. on May 31.

Orange police say the arrest was made on Route 34 in town after officers received reports of a vehicle driving erratically near the Route 15 overpass. Responding officers reportedly observed the vehicle parked haphazardly in the roadway.

The driver, who police identified as Matthew Lutheran, failed a sobriety test, according to the report.

He was released after posting a $50 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on June 18.
