The vigilance of a Clearbrook Road resident coupled with the quick action of Orange Police combined on June 10 to bring about the apprehension of a man accused of stealing a car.

were immediately notified. They checked the area and officers put out a regional broadcast to area police departments with a description of the vehicle.

A short time later, police said, Milford police contacted Orange officers to let them know they had stopped the car in their city as it exited I-95. The operator, who police identified as Jesse Munko, 20, of Ansonia, was taken into custody and turned over to Orange officers.

He was charged with third-degree larceny and was initially held on a $5,000 bond. After an interview with a State of Connecticut Bail Commissioner, Munko was released on a written promise to appear in Derby Superior Court on June 26.
