Police: Women, Children Arrested in Attempted Shoplifting

The two women (and three children) were allegedly caught by police with more than $1200 in merchandise from Target.

Orange police say two women and three juveniles have been arrested after an attempted shoplifting from Target on the Boston Post Road. And according to what Target's loss prevention allegedly told police, the women and children worked together.

At about 9 p.m. Wednesday, officers headed to Target to respond to a shoplifting call. They allegedly found Nina Denby, 22, of New Haven, alongside three kids (ages 9, 14 and 15) -- and $1,253.72 in allegedly stolen Target merchandise. They allegedly arrested the second suspect -- Chanelle Kedazulu, 18, of Hamden -- as she left the store.
