Police report two DUI arrests last Saturday, October 6: one early in the morning, one at night.
At 2:42 a.m., police arrested Carlos Constante, 43, of Waterbury. Constante was alleged "travelling erratically" in the westbound lane. After roadside sobriety tests, he was charged with Driving Under the Influence. He was released after posting $50 bond.
At 10:29 p.m., a tip allegedly led police to another car driving erratically. This time police arrested Amos Gray, 41, of West Haven. Gray was charged with DUI, Failure to Maintain Proper Lane, Operating a Motor Vehicle without Insurance, Operating an Unregistered Motor Vehicle, and Misuse of Marker Plates. He was held on $500 bond.
