Police: Orange Man Threatened to Kill Cops

Police say the threat was made after officers responded to a disturbance at a Ferry Road residence.

An Orange man was arrested May 2 after he waved handsaws around in front of his disabled relative while intoxicated, police said.

Police responded to the Ferry Road residence at 9:47 p.m. that day and, upon arrival, the man allegedly threatened to kill the officers and spat on them.

Police said the man, Clarence Freeman, 33, of 530 Ferry Road, was taken into custody and charged with second-degree threatening, disorderly conduct, and assault of a peace officer.

He was held on a $500 bond and was scheduled to appear in court May 5.
