Police: Man Violated Protective Order

The 29-year-old Ansonia man was arrested in Orange.


An Ansonia man was held on a $10,000 bond after being arrested in Orange for allegedly violating a protective order.

According to a report from the Orange Police Department, Neil Bridgers, 29, was arrested at 9:21 p.m. on Jan. 16 on Sarah Circle. 

"Officers responded to a private residence on Sarah Circle regarding the violation of a protective order," police said. "The complainant stated that she received text messages from the arrestee, who had been ordered by the court to have no contact with her in any way. He was subsequently taken into custody and charged."
