Police: Man Trashed McDonalds Parking Lot, Target Employees Hooked Up Customers

This week's reports from the Orange Police Department.

September 11:

Police arrested a man they say threw trash across the parking lot of the McDonald's on the Boston Post Road in March and turned himself in after learning of the warrant for his arrest.

Police say Timothy McLaughlin, 48, of West Haven, came to HQ to turn himself for the March 2 incident. In March, a complaint had been made and a ticket had been issued, which police say he did not respond to. McLaughlin was charged with Failure to Respond to an Infraction and released after posting $219 bond.

September 13:

According to reports, two Target employees who had been giving discounts to customers at the store were arrested after learning they were being sought for the crimes. And police say more arrests may be on the way in the investigation.

Police say Jasmen Bynum, 22, of West Haven, and Whitney Settle, 22, of New Haven gave the merchandise to others without requiring full prices to be paid in a series of December 2011 incidents. When the two learned about warrants for their arrests, they turned themselves in at police headquarters. Bynum and Settle were charged with 5th degree larceny and conspiracy to commit 5th and 6th degree larceny.
