Police: Man Flees Kohl's With $672 in Stolen Clothing

Orange Police arrested the New Haven man after he allegedly attempted to run from officers.

Orange police arrested a 20-year-old New Haven man after he allegedly ran out of Kohl's with nearly $700 worth of merchandise.

Police said Kohl's security attempted to stop the man, identified as Jaquan Garner, but he was able to get away and run out of the store.

Officers on nearby patrol quickly responded to the 250 Bull Hill Lane store and Garner reportedly ran from police, too.

Garner was apprehended a short distance from the store at 4:14 p.m. on June 28 and charged with fifth-degree larceny and interfering with an officer.

Garner was released after posting a $2,500 bond. He's scheduled to appear in court on July 12.
