Police Investigating Two Burglaries

Crooks target homes on Kennedy Drive and Racebrook Road

Orange Police are currently investigating two residential burglaries.

The first occurred on Friday Sept. 30, at a home on Kennedy Drive.

Police said the resident was away from the home for a short time and upon returning at about 1:20 p.m. discovered the burglary.

According to the report, entry was gained by forcibly opening a rear window that was unlocked. The unknown person or persons took jewelry and some medicine from the residence.

On Tuesday, Oct. 4, at about 12:30 p.m. officers responded to an activated burglar alarm at a home on Racebrook Road.

Officers found a front door had been forcibly entered. There was a small amount of jewelry taken from the residence.

No suspects or vehicles were seen in either incident.

Police are reminding residents to make sure doors and windows are closed and secured when leaving the house even for a short period of time.
