Police Charge Orange Woman with DUI

Police reportedly found her slumped over the steering wheel with the engine still running.


A 30-year-old Orange resident was charged with DUI after police reportedly found her slumped over the steering wheel with the engine still running.

Jennifer O'Mara, of Grassy Hill Road, was arrested at 2:29 a.m. on March 18, according to a report provided by the Orange Police Department.

"Officers conducting routine patrol observed a vehicle positioned stationary, but running with the brake lights lit, off the side of Lambert Road with the driver slumped over the steering wheel," the report states. "Upon waking the driver, officers had her perform standardized roadside sobriety tests. She was subsequently taken into custody and charged."

O'Mara was released after posting a $50 bond. She is scheduled to appear in court on April 2.
